I'm having a problem, I'm on Windows 7 and I have the Freebox V6, but I can't activate the Wi-Fi. I go to manage wireless networks and it tells me that the wireless type is not currently active. What should I do?

    Good evening,

As for me, I have the Freebox Revolution, which works perfectly over Ethernet and Wi-Fi (WEP) on my old laptop running XP (Toshiba). However, I just acquired a new laptop running Windows 7 (Dell) and it's a mess.

Basically, it always works with Ethernet when I plug it in, but every time I want to use Wi-Fi, it messes up if the laptop has gone to sleep or has been turned off: it recognizes the Wi-Fi and the WEP key, but there is no internet access possible. Windows 7's help doesn't provide any solutions. I'm told there is no valid IP address.

I can only get Wi-Fi under one condition: reboot my Freebox! So this is not convenient at all. And the worst part is that I don't have this issue with XP on the other laptop.
If someone can reveal the cause of the problem to me, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks, A+

I don't know about the others, but I'm on Windows 7 and I wasn't on Vista (new computer delivered with Windows 7), so I don't think it's an improvement to change the environment.

For your information, I changed the WEP to WPA, but it doesn't bring anything new.

Hi, you should format your PC properly and then reinstall Windows 7, and it should normally work again without any problems.

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem that I can't solve with my Acer Windows 7 PC

Unable to detect an internet network while everything else is connected; my WiFi isn't working. No matter how many times I press Fn F2, nothing activates

I've tried disabling and re-enabling the network adapter, but I still have as many issues displaying with the yellow triangle logo

I tried to restore the system to a previous date, but nothing is working. I don't know what else to do or how

    Please thank you

I have another problem, my Freebox is detected well but I automatically connect to other nearby boxes (which I can see by the way) and I can only connect to my Freebox after a certain amount of time and even then I do it manually from the taskbar.

Now I don't know how to prioritize my Freebox, because in the "Network and Sharing Center" and in "Manage Wireless Connections," I don't see the other boxes that I can see in the taskbar, only my Freebox.

    Any advice?

I changed operators, and miracle, I just had to enter the security key and it prioritized me on the network. So now I don't need to connect manually, maybe it's Free that's having issues with their network, thanks Orange for solving the problem ^^.
