Hello, here is what can help you:

      What is Location Free Player?

LocationFree is a system designed by Sony that connects to the PSP and allows you to watch television and movies while on the go.

      1) Introduction

      • To use LocationFree, you need a LocationFree base station and version 2.70 or higher of the system software installed on your PSP. You will also need a Memory Stick Duo to use the on-screen remote control.

      2) Starting Up

      • You can connect up to two AV devices to the LocationFree base station. These can include a digital decoder, a DVD player, or a camcorder.
      • You can control the selected AV device via an infrared system called an IR blaster.
      • To stream content over the internet, you need a high-speed connection and must connect the base station to your home network using an Ethernet cable.

      3) Initial Setup

      • Turn on the PSP and activate the wireless connection by turning on the WLAN switch.
      • Select => LocationFree Player from => Network in the home menu, then press "X".
      • Follow the on-screen instructions until you are prompted to select "Start".
      • After turning on the base station, press and hold the "SETUP MODE" button located at the back of the base station.
      • Select "Start" from the on-screen menu so that the PSP can locate and register with the base station.
      • Registration is automatic and should take a few minutes. When prompted, press "X" to complete the initial setup. You can then start streaming AV content on the PSP.
      • To install remote control data, press "Triangle" and select the remote control icon while watching content. You will then be prompted to launch the internet download page for the remote control. Select the European version on the download page. Once the installation is complete, you can select the brand and type of AV device you are using.
      • Once installation is complete, press "Square" to access the on-screen remote control.

      4) Ad Hoc Playback

      • You can now access the base station using the wireless capabilities of the PSP system. To do this, go to => LocationFree Player under Network in the home menu of the PSP and select "LocationFree AP" under "Select Connection".
      • If the connection is successful, the AV output will be displayed.

      5) Infrastructure Mode Setup

      • You must first configure access in infrastructure mode when you are at home. As long as the base station is connected to a high-speed connection, you can use the PSP to access your favorite shows while on the go. A high-speed connection with a download speed of at least 300KB is recommended to watch LocationFree on the PSP.
      • When watching television or a video on the PSP, press "Triangle", select "Settings", then "Base Station Settings". You will be prompted to select the LocationFree AP connection, which will launch the configuration page. Select Easy Configuration.
      • Enter the username and password. To do this, select "OK" and then press "X". The username: lfx (in lowercase) and the initial password: (WebPassword is printed on the label of the base station.
      • Once "Successful" appears on the "Test NetAV" screen, the display will return to the home screen. Select "Successful Configuration", then press "X".

      6) Infrastructure Mode Playback

      • Once the infrastructure mode setup is complete, you will be able to access the base station while on the go. To do this, enter the wireless access point (WLAN) information as "New Connection" on the network connection screen in => LocationFree Player.
      • Select the "Wireless Access Point" (WLAN) option on the network connection screen in => LocationFree Player. This will initiate the search for your base station over the internet.

      7) Conclusion

      • Now you know how to use LocationFree to watch television and videos via the PSP, at home or while on the go.

      And there you go !!!

In short, you need to buy a kind of decoder!
