Problem with my HP wireless mouse

Hello,
I’m reaching out for help because I have a problem with my mouse purchased today.
It’s a wireless HP mouse, with a USB receiver, and the mouse is not working. Let me explain.

I plugged in the USB receiver, it is detected and installed, the drivers are up to date. Then I turn on the mouse, I press the detection button on the receiver and the connection button on the mouse, but the receiver does not seem to detect the mouse at all.

I am on a COMPAQ laptop, with Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and the model of the mouse is not specified anywhere on the packaging. It just says HP Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse.

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse and an HP Windows Vista computer. At first, the mouse worked well, but after 3 weeks, I had to change the battery; after 8 days, I can hardly control the mouse anymore, it moves all over the place; what could it be and how can I fix it? Hello,

The first step may seem silly, but there are indeed batteries in the mouse and they are fully charged (In the case of a mouse with a charging dock, has it been pre-charged?).

Is there a light indicator on the mouse that shows it is turned on and ready to function?

Next, one thing to check is to keep the receiver away from any interference. Often, this receiver is placed on top of the computer, just above the power supply, which often causes interference.

Excuse me for bringing up the topic again, but I also have a problem with my keyboard.
Let me explain. In January, I bought an HP m9377.fr with its HP w2207h screen. I installed the keyboard and mouse normally, everything was working fine. I should mention that the keyboard and mouse are wireless.

At the beginning of May, I had to unplug my computer for professional reasons and take it to work. However, when I tried to plug my keyboard back in, the USB receiver (which is at the back of my computer) only detects the mouse. I've tried several things, to no avail. So, I had to install a wired keyboard. Since then, the computer has come back home, but the keyboard still doesn't work.

Do you have any ideas? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Try step 1 without downloading HP Mouse Suite, otherwise:
Download HP Mouse Suite.
Install
Open HP Mouse Suite
In the Mouse section, at the bottom right, click on "Dongle pairing"

1. Turn off the mouse
2. Insert the dongle into the USB port
3. Press OK
4. Press and hold the right side button of the mouse, turn on the mouse, then continue to hold the button for 3 seconds.

As for me, I think my 3-year-old daughter must have unpaired the dongle lol.
