I double-click on Metin2, the game launches, a window named auto patch loads, and then it says start the game, under options, under manage an account, etc.
I start the game and the screen goes black like it’s about to enter fullscreen mode, BUT THEN a window opens and says
LOG
Metin2.CREATE_NO_APROPPRIATE_DEVICE
so I click ok and it goes back to the desktop. There you go... )=

I'm not sure, but it also opened a "LOG" window for me because the patch download (the white autopatch window) cut off in the middle; I didn't know what to do, so I went to my Metin 2 folder (in program files) and launched the "PatchUpdater" application. It worked, and I was able to launch the game on my PC, but not on a friend's who had the same issue, so I hope I helped you; otherwise, I don't know, sorry.
