Hello,
I'm leaving a message on this forum because I have a little issue and I hope you can help me.
I recently purchased a Samsung LCD LE40A577. I then connected my PS3 to it via HDMI with a "budget" cable costing 20 euros. When I turn on my console, everything works perfectly, the resolution is in 1080p since it's a full HD screen. The problem is that after a few minutes of gaming, the image cuts out; a black screen appears for 3-4 seconds and then the image comes back. This cut happens from time to time. The HDMI cable is compatible with 1.3 like the port on the TV. Should I switch to 1080i?? Should I change the cable?? While researching online, I came across a technique that involves unplugging the cable from the back of the PS3 and plugging it back in several times? Is this technique valid?? Do you have a solution?? Has anyone had the same issue??
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Here is a source after some research via play3live:
It's simply the HDCP that takes too long to respond! So the PS3 cuts the image until it receives the HDCP signal and so on... The only way is to launch a game then unplug the HDMI cable from your PS3 for 5 or 10 seconds then plug it back in and it should be fine

Finally, well thank you, I will adopt the technique then.
Hi, I have exactly the same problem as you and honestly, it’s frustrating when you’re playing an important match. Anyway, at this hour, I can’t find any solution to this issue. If someone can shed some light on it, I’d appreciate it.
I had the same symptom of the image jumping with my LG LED, I was connected via HDMI.
The solution that worked for me: buy an optical cable, since I connected it to my LG 5.1 home theater, no more synchronization problems.
I also changed the HDMI port on the TV.
I hope this can help you.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I've been doing the same for a long time but still have the same issue with the picture jumping! Optical cable connected to Samsung 2.1. Since then, I've just accepted it and unplug the HDMI cable for a few seconds before plugging it back in. So, if anyone has a radical solution, I'm all ears ;)
