Hello,

This morning when I tried to start my computer, I had a huge surprise,
indeed, I received an error message saying there is a problem due to an update.
The message (in English):

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

File: \Boot\BCD

Status: 0xc000000f

Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

So, I tried to follow the instructions with the Vista installation disk, but nothing happens.
I have a laptop with Windows Vista (I am currently writing from another computer).
I looked up solutions on Google, but from what I saw, all of them require a complete reboot of the computer, while I have very important files on it that I need to keep.
