I absolutely need a file, but when I click on the link it says:
"the current security settings do not allow you to download this file "
this is the link http://lop.com/toolbar_uninstall.exe
how to disable these settings?

Hello,

I am a technical advisor and I currently have a client online with the same error message as you. I will troubleshoot it live, hoping it works and that you can replicate it at home :)

- Default settings (advanced - general - security); test: same.
- Added the hosting site to trusted sites; test: same.
- Download IE7 instead of IE6 ... impossible; "current security settings do not allow you to download this file."
- Download Firefox instead of IE6 ... impossible; "current security settings do not allow you to download this file."

- Manual reset of IE6 ... IE6 > Tools > Internet Options > Security [Internet] - [Custom Level]
---> Checked all radio buttons for Enable or Prompt, confirmed, then restart Internet Explorer; test: ALL OK

I have a problem with the security settings.
I am subscribed to Messenger and I can't access it anymore because the security settings do not allow me to (current security settings do not allow you to download this file).

I have another problem which is that I can only open certain emails, (you are not authorized to view this page).
What should I do?

I do not want to delete the security settings, but if I have to do it, then I will, but can I reinstall it again afterwards?

Hi everyone, I also have my friend's PC that says "your current settings do not allow you to download this file". I tried what you mentioned, but it doesn't work. So I re-installed Internet Explorer 6 thinking everything would reset, but nothing has changed, still no way to download. If you have any ideas for my problem, feel free to share.
