Hello,
I currently have a digital satellite receiver SRT 6420 with a TNTSAT card reader. I'm noticing that the deadline for inserting this card is January 12, 2010.

After this date, I will no longer receive TNT, can this card be updated? If so, where? And do I have to change the receiver?

If you have encountered this issue, thank you for providing some guidance.

You on your factory reset menu, remove the card, turn off the decoder, turn it back on again, insert the card, and that's it for 4 years.

Bonjour, Bringo, I would like to know exactly how to extend my 4-year card. Do I need to activate the factory reset, then remove the card and turn off the receiver while it is updating, then turn it back on and insert the card and power it on, or is there another way? Thank you.

Hello, just to clarify that there is a website for the brand of your decoder. Mine is an Optex. You can go there and search for your problem in the forum. There is a firmware update for the transponder to do; mine is 12604. Perform the update, and all the channels come back like magic. There's no scam, just a lack of communication. ^^

C'est une arnaque, on m'a renvoyé une carte et ça ne marche pas. J'ai rappelé pour leur dire, ils m'ont répondu qu'il fallait que je renvoie le décodeur et que ça me coûterait 36 euros. J'ai demandé si ça fonctionnerait, ils m'ont répondu "pas sûr". Alors que faire ?

To check the expiration date of the Viaccess card on the Strong 6410:
Menu
Smart card
Rights consultation
then press the red button "RCL".

Mine will expire in early 2012, does anyone know what happens next? How can I reactivate the Viaccess card or do I need to acquire another one and where?

You need to change the card, which costs €15, purchased online on the tntsat website, and you're good to go for another 4 years with a new card.

Perhaps you have already received an answer to your question... so here’s what’s happening:
The deadline for insertion is the date after which the card will no longer be valid if it has never been inserted into the Strong 6420 and the device turned on for installation.
If the card was inserted into the device before this date, it becomes valid for 3 or 4 years from the date of insertion and installation.
That's it, hoping my explanations are not too late.

You just need to buy a Viaccess card for €15 and the decoder recognizes it, but I changed mine and the validity is 3 years, so 5 euros a year for perfect picture quality.

I just solved the problem since I subscribed to Orange, so I receive TNT through their decoder. But I completely agree that it can be considered a scam. Thank you again for your responses.

Do you have the Orange ADSL and satellite TV? If so, does it work well?

I almost bought it, but my antenna technician advised against it, saying it wasn't performant!

But since September 2008, it must have evolved.

I am currently testing Orange TV via satellite. There are some drawbacks though:

1) You need to connect the Livebox to the decoder (I bought the Orange PLCs since the two devices are in different rooms) strange but with the Orange PLCs you cannot turn off the decoder, otherwise the PLCs cannot find each other!!!

2) Channels that broadcast their programs in 16:9 have no problem, nice picture; unless you have a 4:3 TV, then I think there will be no image issues.

3) I think the ideal situation is to be able to receive via ADSL

For now, it's going well.

It seems to me, having read in other forums, that it is absolutely necessary to change the TNT sat decoder.

Since September 2008, I have had the TNT sat with a Sagem ISD74 box.

Where did you find the expiry date for the Viaccess card?

I bought this TNT decoder on Topachat, and on the packaging box that I still have, there is a deadline for inserting the TNTSAT card on 12/01/10. That's why I'm wondering what happens to the terminal after this date?

Thank you for your reply. As I explained to you, after 4 years the TV rights of the Viaccess card will no longer work. Therefore, you will probably need to buy a new satellite TNT decoder.
Personally, I think it's a bit of a scam. Otherwise, to be truly informed, I recommend contacting an antenna installer. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I'll be happy to respond.

Normally, a message appears on your TV saying your card will expire in X months. Please connect to www.tntsat for the purchase of a new card for 15 euros every 4 years.

Good evening, I have a problem. I have a TNT Sat Visiosat TVS 7500 decoder that was working very well, then I removed the valid Viaccess card and inserted an invalid card, and from that moment the decoder completely crashed. When I turn it on, it does not work properly and keeps turning off and back on.
What can I do to fix this?
