What to think of Opatch which for €25 per year offers to continue patching Windows 10 vulnerabilities until 2030?

    Hello.
If you want to keep Windows 10 for another two or three years without changing your machine, the 25 €/year from 0patch is a very reasonable investment to maintain a decent level of security. But it will only provide security patches; it fixes only critical/important flaws (exploited or highly probable), not 100% of bugs, and it can do nothing about Windows 10 being abandoned by some software, such as web browsers, for example..

a hello, a reply, a thank you always brings pleasure.

    1. Thank you for the reply, I asked this question because recently I had to fill out an online administrative form (paper requests are tedious) but it turns out I could only do it on Windows 10. What should we poor users do if we move to Windows 11 since the administration is not ready to modernize anytime soon!!

  2. Hello,

    Obscure.

A certain number of administrative sites may be incompatible with a very old version of an operating system or browser, but certainly not both up-to-date on Windows 11.

    Which site?

    1. Another smart vote, how refreshing.

Websites have code that may not be compatible with very old operating systems like XP, same for browsers of that generation (for example IE). Some go as far as to not be "optimized" for Linux or Mac.

But especially since Windows 11 is only a fresh coat of paint on Windows 10 to the point that online sites analyze the requester's system as Windows 10, seriously, have you encountered administrative sites that prevent all PC buyers from connecting for the past 5 years, and moreover even sites that are not and are not archaic?

The browser settings or "security" settings can block an auto-fill form, but that has nothing to do with the Windows version.

Test done and if you don’t want to fill it out by hand, scan it and resend (which I did a few years ago), nothing prevents you from filling out the CERFA form 16702-03 online under Windows 11.
