Windows 8 key and activation

Hello

I just acquired a new laptop with Windows 8 pre-installed but not activated;

I managed to find the Windows activation key, but during the activation phase
(which by default is buggy and forces me to go through the SLUI 3 app)
my key is recognized ("your product key works") but the error code: 0xC0000022 appears, telling me that a process has requested access but does not have the necessary permissions (I am of course logged in as an administrator ...).

I'm a bit stuck, I've made attempts via the command prompt directly, but I'm not sure I did it correctly and it failed.
And without activation, I cannot upgrade to Windows 10, Windows 8 is incomplete and unsuitable, so I would like to change as soon as possible.

Hi

If you need to migrate to Win10, buy a Win10 license and download a WIN10 ISO and burn it to a bootable USB drive or a DVD
And install it directly without going through Win8

  @Belthilorn1If W8 is pre-installed, the key is tagged in the BIOS.
  
  Is the PC really NEW or is it second-hand? Has W8 not been reinstalled?

  @Judge_DTWindows 8 has been reinstalled, yes. But the issue doesn't seem to be the key since it's saying that it's okay; it's the finalization step that fails, as mentioned in my initial message.

The Win 8 license is pre-activated >> even if you manage to install and set it up correctly, the Win 10 license will be paid (the free upgrade ended at the end of July 2016...
So you might as well install Win 10!!!

  Windows 8 has been reinstalled, I think, but the problem is not the key (the message says the product key works but cannot complete the activation process, error message process).
  It's that Windows tells me the activation service is unavailable and I should try again later, but it doesn't actually tell me what to do to fix the problem. Has anyone ever had this issue with Windows 8?

  @Belthilorn1It has been reinstalled... so check that the installed version matches the provided license.
  
  Normally, with a tagged key, you need to "ignore" the activation, and it will happen automatically.

  These are accessibility and ergonomics technologies/utilities, it's open to everyone, but it allows updating to W10, except it gets stuck at the Windows activation verification stage for me.

  Well, Windows confirms that my key is indeed valid; I attempted a factory reset in vain, the problem remains unchanged. I think the pre-installed Windows must be corrupted from the start.
  I believe I only have to send it back since no one here has encountered this problem before.

  do you know how to reinstall an operating system?
  I can give you a clean W8 64-bit ISO, it will allow you to have a healthy base?
  You have nothing to lose at this point?
  Is it the home edition that you have on it (there should be a brown/maroon sticker underneath?)
  You format the hard drive completely, back up your data, if you have any, you start the installation in UEFI, no license should be requested, it's built into the motherboard?

  I just performed a factory reset and, not having an ISO to reinstall a clean W8... I accepted the customer service's offer to recover the PC and send me another one or refund me.
  Yes, normally the license is associated with the motherboard, so it should be done automatically, but there seemed to be an issue with the OS even, I think.

Apparently, it's for PCs with Win7 SP1 or Win8.1
Then, there's this sentence at the bottom, in the remarks:
Additional requirements may apply in the future for installing updates.
I confirm, you need a lot of space on the hard drive for Win10 updates...

  In any case, for now my concern is to activate my Windows 8, the rest I will see when I get to it.
  I think it will end up with a call to Microsoft support in the next few days to get this sorted out; they really messed up with this Windows 8 that runs poorly for a lot of things.
