Some tips:

The duration of the scan depends on the amount of data. If you have significantly more data or larger or more numerous disks than before: it's normal for it to take longer. Automatic backups or not can quickly increase the amount of data. Numerous restore points as well. Hibernate creates a huge file, especially larger when RAM is large and heavily used: you can disable hibernation before the scan and reactivate it after the scan.

If the disks are very fragmented, reading slows down. You can try defragmenting before scanning.

If data is compressed, reading is slower. Settings allow Windows or your defragmentation software to compress large or rarely used files. If you don't need to save storage space: change the settings to prevent data compression.

To have less data to scan: perform a "disk cleanup" with the Windows tool and/or with CCleaner before the scan. (don’t overdo the cleanup though, CCleaner can be configured to not remove what is necessary for your comfort and the proper functioning of software since some programs do not like being cleaned. Some tutorials recommend running Malwarebytes in Windows Safe Mode, in this mode reading disks is sometimes slower (no caching). This slowness is felt more when there is more data over time. I read elsewhere that Malwarebytes would find more things in normal Windows mode because some malware are only active in normal mode, and Malwarebytes would find them in memory at that point. Additionally, the disk reading would not be slowed down if you scan in normal mode. (I am not qualified enough in disinfection to say which is the best mode to scan with Malwarebytes and do not wish to open this debate in your thread, this is not the issue here).
