How to activate AutoCAD 2013

I got the AutoCAD 2013 software in English from a friend. Activating it has become a Chinese puzzle for me, especially since I installed Windows 8 on my machine. Can someone help me?

    This software is paid, and it can be for a single PC only.
    That might be the activation issue.
