HP Software Update is a tool used to help users keep their HP devices up to date with the latest software and drivers.

And not for Malwarebytes which in quick scan mode did not detect multiple items that it found in full scan mode, sometimes on the same day!

Hi
It should be noted that with this damn stuff from "eoRezo" responsible for the installation of HP Software Update in my case at least (it may be that others install this junk), it is necessary to locate and remove with Malwarebytes for example this "Rogue.Eorezo" which can be found on HKEY LOCAL MACHINE SOFTWARE...... I didn't take notes and didn't make a log, but Malwarebytes found it and I have put it in quarantine for now, I don't know if it should be deleted, I will look for it, for now I can't see the complete line both on the "mbam" interface and in the quarantine folder! I will search again on the computer if there is still any junk installed somewhere by "eoRezo" See you later!
After a little research, I realized that this "Rogue" or another like this one "Rogue.ErrorSmart" could very well be found in a backup of the registry created by CCleaner or Reg-Cleaner for example, it seems obvious when you think about it! In any case, it's not good news for Avast which is oblivious to it all!

Hello, this is software that was installed during an attempt to download software like Audacity, and by eoRezo.
This eoRezo wants to install on the computer and modify access for Internet Explorer. In fact, when you click on a download for software like Audacity, it's Webinstaller an application from eoRezo that comes up, and when you click on it, it installs the famous "Software Update HP" which will modify different things in Internet Explorer to then allow access to the desired software, but it does not only that, it installs other things on the computer! It is normally something we wanted to access the network "eoRezo", to theoretically access secure and faster downloads, along with a search engine etc! But it is accessible in "Programs and Features" in the control panel and can therefore be uninstalled, but I do not remember under what name, in any case there is eoRezo in the Publisher column! Go check here too
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\ and there is "Roaming\EoRezo" which should disappear if the uninstallation is done, otherwise there is "uninstall" in that location, but not sure that works there, you also have to see that the application has installed automatic launch on Windows startup, unchecked with your regular application CCleaner TuneUp or other it's the line "HKLM:RunOnce SoftwareHelper C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\eoRezo\SoftwareUpdate\SoftwareeUpdateHP.exe-runonce to uncheck and remove from the list of programs launched at startup! Of course, in this example and above, there is \Owner\ but it could be something else for you, in any case at least nothing will launch, but uninstallation is required as explained above!

This is something abusive as it installs in a more or less hidden manner, although it seems that at some point you have to register and "accept", so it shows that you have to be careful with the internet and certain sites, you should always take your time and in doubt, you should abandon, especially since this type of system offers downloads that are easily accessible elsewhere!

According to this site, it must run on Vista...
Have a nice day

Hello, it's the first time I came to find out what it was and at the same time I got a bit gray and I found that it was just a search software for added stuff for all Apple applications, if it is well installed at least, that's what it's supposed to do, and if it doesn't work you can directly remove it from the add/remove programs in your control panel or maybe even directly in the start menu since there is no uninstall! With a right click on it and delete and if it's an application that might be useful if you use iTunes for your iPod and QuickTime for your movies and hearts, it can be useful bye-bye.

Hello
My little experience leads me to suppose that it allows HP "or others" to check that the ink cartridges are refilled rather than replaced, thus insinuating doubt about the printer's longevity.
Can HP software update be removed from add and remove programs, or is it enough not to respond to the login prompt?

Hi, I would like to know what update.exe is and why it gives me a message
update.exe-application error
the instruction at "0x770e3d9b" referenced memory at "0x012bd8e0". The memory could not be "read".

Hello!

Well, if we're translating, it must be a HP software update utility...

:-)
