R4-III SDHC Problem

Hello,
I have a problem when I insert my 4GB micro SD card into the R4 card and then insert it into my DS. When I turn it on, there is a black screen with "LOADING" and I admit that it's frustrating me. I've been struggling since noon and it's 5 PM now. I've been looking on forums and I'm getting a bit overwhelmed. Please help me, I can't take it anymore. I would like to give this to my sister for Christmas.

      Hello, we're also struggling with the R4. We downloaded the files and software from the website indicated on the R4 box, but when we insert the R4 into the DS, a menu with a question mark appears on the screen.
      What's this menu all about?

      I don't quite understand what you mean by MENU, but I cleared everything from my SD card and it seems that the R4 card is not working because with my brother's card and my sister's SD it works, but since they are not the same... (my brother: R4-III upgrade, I don't know the difference.

      And I would like to know what MOONSHELL is.
      If someone can solve my problem, that would be great.

      YOU HAVE EXTRACTED THE RAR FILE, SO ON YOUR R4, R4-FRENCH APPEARS. YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE FILES INSIDE AND PLACE THEM AT THE ROOT OF YOUR R4.

      Salut purple65, I also have the same problem, the card is stuck on loading. It comes from Andorra and the SD works perfectly. If you have any information, could you please share it with me? Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

    I've tried everything you said, downloading the files and putting them on the card, formatting it to FAT32 and reinstalling them, but nothing works. I still have the menu? in red appearing.

    Could someone please help me?

    Not in FAT32 but in FAT with default allocation unit table.
    Personally, for formatting I used another USB micro-SD reader.
    The .NDS files must be copied to the root, but it seems to work if you put them in a "Games" folder as well.
    As for the menu? in red, either your formatting failed, or you didn't use the link from the previous post.

    the correct version : 19- R4-III-SDHC v3.07 kernel (French) 2008-12-05.
    Be careful, this is for the R4-III Upgrade SDHC (a clone). For others, the programs are not the same.

    Don't despair, it should work...

    Je n'arrive pas à comprendre comment faire ma R4i marque en rouge, dans le menu. Je ne comprends rien, parce que je mets les fichiers divers et ça ne fonctionne pas. Ma fille pleure parce que je n'y arrive pas et moi, j'en peux plus. Aidez-moi s'il vous plaît, merci.

      Salut à tous, j’en peux plus depuis hier, je me prends la tête. J'ai installé 3.07 et plein d'autres, mais ça ne marche pas. Je reste toujours sur l'icône rouge du menu ? Je ne sais plus quoi faire, aidez-moi s'il vous plaît.

      Hello;
      first you need to put the 4 patches on the micro SD, then put your micro SD back into the R4, insert it into your DS; turn it on and you'll see the home screen appear. Then take it out, and in your micro SD, create a folder called games and put your games inside and you're all set.
      You shouldn't create the games folder before doing it right after putting the patches.

    You must not use the correct firmware or you have not copied the files to the root.

    I had the same problem, it's because you need to copy and paste the 4 files: r4; moonshell; r4.dat and mypicture onto your micro SD. THEN you put the micro SD into the R4; then into the DS; you turn it on, you'll see a welcome screen, then turn off your DS, put it back in your computer; there you create a games folder and put your games there and there you go, it should work normally.

        You might want to install the correct version of the Kernel on your R4 SDHC: Kernel V3.17, I'll let you look it up
        Keep in mind that if you install version 1.18, it will never work, and the screen will be stuck on a red micro SD loading!

      Without putting game folders, it always shows me the home page with the card icon in red marked MENU

    Hi, I just received my R4-III Upgrade.

    Everything is fine, I installed the files at the root (version 3.07) as well as some games.
    But the navigation is very cumbersome, if you know what I mean.
    It's no longer a list like in the old R4.

    The scrolling menu of the games is poor.

    Do you know if it's possible to modify the navigation to make it similar to the old R4? I have tried creating folders (RPG, ACTION...) to make navigation easier, but the R4III does not recognize the folders.

    Can anyone help me?
