font vectorization

Question

Hello,
I’ve designed a poster with lots of text and now I’d like to make a print, but the printer is asking me to vectorize the fonts or to overprint them, and I don’t know how to do that. Please help me, as I have until tomorrow for the printing.

to know if Inkscape can open the file: p I don't know if the file is in PSD or EPS format?

Well, in Inkscape, you just need to select the text and vectorize the object.
It's also possible in Illustrator

In Photoshop, since it doesn't understand vectors at all, I don't know if it can do it because it's the "text box" and not the text itself that's considered.

As for "overprint," I don't really see what he means by that Ôo

In this kind of image editing software, it's not about vectorizing the fonts, but about pixelating them

try to find the pixelate option :p maybe in the text or layer menu and choose pixelate text or convert to form

If I'm not mistaken in Photoshop, or another image editing program, there is no vectorize option but you can find the option to rasterize text or convert it into a shape :p

Photo Deluxe Home Edition 4.0 looks like Photoshop so I suppose it's the same

Sure, I was talking about the demand :-)
Inkscape can vectorize fonts, Illustrator can too, but it's paid :-)

As for "overprinting," since it's the printer or supposed to be, I don't see it Ôo
