My i-buddy is not working.

Hello, my i-buddy only worked for one day. I gave one to my niece, and it worked for a week. What should we do? Is it a parameter problem? I also gave one to my sister-in-law, and hers doesn't work either. When we start the PC, it moves, but with MSN it doesn't work. We can't get the complete installation in French.

    Could someone tell me why the official i-buddy site is not working? Because I sincerely think that the problems come from there... I'm trying to update it but it says there's a connection error to the server and there is no other page on the site than the main one....

      Hello everyone,
      I have good news for everyone, I'll summarize:
      Having bought an I-buddy three days ago, I needed to get it working properly....the installation CD only offered a version 1.X of the software and its functions were therefore limited, the website www.i-buddy.com hasn't been working (either) for me for three days (maybe under renovation but it's dragging on) so I started looking everywhere for a more recent version and after many hours of "scrutinizing" Google links, I came across a Dutch site that allows you to download version 2.0.10, just click on "hier" in the second line of the article (for those who don't understand Dutch, that means "here"). Here is the link:

      thanks to this version my i-buddy finally started responding to MSN messages and moreover it learned to dance with Windows Media Player...

      It's the same for me, I installed it but it doesn't react at all (I have Windows 7)
      However, when I test the i buddy it moves
      but when I receive messages on MSN or listen to music it does nothing!

    Simply right-click, select properties, compatibility, and check "Run this program as an administrator."

      I got an i-buddy for Christmas and the solution given for Vista is not complete; you really need to go into compatibility and check the box "run this program as an administrator," then go to "show settings for all users" and check the box "run this program as an administrator" again.
      I hope this advice is not useless, have a good evening everyone.

        I bought an ibuddy this afternoon and it doesn't work on my computer which is running Vista, while it works perfectly on XP... and all this even after doing what you suggested as a solution...

        Do you have the latest version of I-buddy manager? I have 2.0.4
        With this version, you can even make your i-buddy dance on Windows Media Player 11. Can you do that??
        When you go into the settings, does your i-buddy respond when you test it??
        Let me know if you meet all these criteria.
        In the worst case, uninstall everything and start over by going through all the operations again (it’s very important to check Run this program as an administrator in both windows, especially if you have Vista 64 bits like me and nothing is compatible).

        I tried a zip test to download from the official site, but it doesn’t work. Regarding installation and compatibility, they are really bad!!

        The only problem I can't remove is the startup at the same time as Windows, it keeps it as a blocked program. But that’s a minor issue
        You might have the same problem?

      However, when I click on "settings" and then "test," it works.

      I had the same problem; go to the ibuddy software, help, and do a software update; after that, everything will be back to normal.

      Hello, my father bought me an i-buddy and I downloaded the new version. It works when I do a test, but it doesn't work on MSN and after finishing the new version it says: "an error occurred or could not reach the i-buddy network". (I didn't use the exact words, but the sentence means the same thing.) I'm on Windows.

    I have no place to click on allow, I am under XP and from what I understood this "allow" is only available under Vista,

    My i-buddy isn't working either, I'm working on XP.

    I did what you said, I installed the latest version and now it works with Windows Media Player, it "dances"

    But on MSN nothing, never anything, although in the tests it works very well!

      Hello, I don't remember very well, but try this: when you have i.buddy on your desktop, double-click on it to open it, then click allow. A window will open, and you click on the small line at the top. The i.buddy icon will go to the bottom right of your screen at every startup; it needs to be in the bottom right.

      Let me know if you succeeded.

    impossible to connect to their site for an update, I'm running on Vista, the installation went smoothly. When I run a test, it works fine, but it doesn't work with MSN. I have installed the software as an administrator. I think an update could solve this problem, but their site is not working. Shame on them.
