How to create a 5-pointed star in text?

A few clarifications while we're digging up old stuff.

We assume it involves inserting the character, not "drawing" a 5-pointed star in a text or batch file by arranging appropriate characters.

The trick with <32> involves installing an additional font just for that, and by the way, O is the black star, Y is the white one; why make it simple when you can make it complicated.

Aside from copying and pasting Wingdings (you can choose between the black and the white) via the character map or drawing an image (with the disadvantages that entails in a text), it is not correct to say that you cannot input Unicode directly from the keyboard, but the method depends on the software used.
