Hello everyone
For some time now, I haven't been able to start my G5 image: the blue screen freezes, then the mouse cursor appears alone without the loading bar appearing beforehand
I've tried several solutions that yielded no results
- Repairing the startup disk and permissions from the installation DVD
- Resetting the PRAM ( alt P R)
- Reinstalling the OS on the disk
- Installing the OS on one of my external drives and booting from that disk. (Since this solution did not work, I think the problem does not come from the initial startup disk)
However, if I restart without the extensions, no problem, I can access my startup disk and do what I want.
If someone can help me

Hello,
So you have an extension causing the problem and that’s what the help says:
You only see a blue screen when you try to start your computer.
If you see a blue screen, with or without a progress indicator (which looks like a small windmill), it may be that a login item is incompatible.
To determine if you have an incompatible login item:
Shut down your computer and wait 30 seconds.
Press the power button.
As soon as you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and the progress bar.
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
Click on Accounts, then on Login Items.
Make a list of the login items, it will be useful for you later.
Select all login items and click Remove.
Choose Apple menu > Restart.
If the problem is resolved, reopen the Accounts preferences and add the login items one by one, restarting the computer after each addition until the problem reproduces. (When you add the login items, you can start your computer normally.) Once you have identified the incompatible login item, use the above procedure to only remove the problematic item.
So, you need to find the culprit, and by following the recommended method, you should manage it.

Thank you for your help
Unfortunately, I have already done this procedure which has yielded no results. -
Good evening, I would like to know if you have solved your problem, as I have exactly the same issues and I don't know what to do anymore. If you have solved it, thank you for helping me.
