Hello,
I’m on a friend’s computer and I need to send a file via Bluetooth from the Mac to my phone. How do you do that??
Thank you.
Configuration: Mac OS X Firefox 2.0.0.16

Otherwise, go to System Preferences, then to the Bluetooth menu
Then on your phone, search for new devices; you should normally see a device named iMac or Mac. Click on it, then enter a code, and on your Mac, a small window will pop up saying you need to enter the PIN code; you have to enter the code you typed on your phone, then click on "Pair". You will then see your phone's name inside the Bluetooth menu; click on it once, then go to the small icon at the bottom of the menu to the right of the plus and minus, a sort of small gear with a little arrow pointing down. Click on it, then you can either Send a file or Browse the content of a device.
I hope I was able to help you.

      Hello
I just went back to MOJAVE instead of Catalina—the latest version of the APPLE OS in 64Bits.. but unusable for older 32Bits applications and files. So be careful before downloading this latest version of OS CATALINA
That’s why I’m forced to reconfigure some preferences
I had lost track a bit..!
So thank you for the help you’ve given me

On your Mac, in the menu bar near the clock, you should have the Bluetooth symbol represented by a 'B'.
Click on it and turn on Bluetooth. The symbol changes from light gray to black.
Click on it again and choose "send a file..."
Select the file and click on send
The already detected Bluetooth devices will be suggested while a scan is performed (rotating gray wheel)
When the PC is detected, select it and click send

      Hi
I have the same problem as b.k, which is that the phone is already paired with my MacBook running Leo 10.5
I can send files from my phone to the MacBook, but not the other way around.
When I click on send a file on the Mac, nothing happens.

      Hello,

If you know the name of the file received via Bluetooth, then a simple search should tell you where it has been placed, most likely in the downloads folder.

I also tried using Bluetooth. Both devices are recognized (the desktop Mac recognizes the iPad), but when I request to browse the device's content, I get the following response: This device does not offer the required services!!
And yet they detect each other. What could this mystery be?
      Thanks to the specialists
PS: It's the same thing with my iPhone.

Hello, it doesn't want to recognize my phone, it just shows me numbers, and when I try to send the file, it tells me there's an error.

Hello, I have lost the code to connect my Mac to my phone. What should I do to recover my code?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello, I do exactly that, but I get an error message on my end (Mac OSX 2.4 GHz Leopard) and yet we are trying to exchange from Mac to Mac, both laptops were recently purchased!!
From my phone to the Mac it's exactly the same! Could it be a driver issue? Or maybe an update? It's funny though, since I just updated!

      Good evening
the text that follows concerns the mobile phone.

1A Does your phone have Bluetooth?
If so, you need to turn on Bluetooth + make it visible and in my devices, you need to enter the name of the computer and the user.

2B Does your computer have Bluetooth?
If so, go to system preferences, then hardware and you will see the Bluetooth logo; click on the logo, then click on settings and check the box to show in the menu bar.

3C You can do the reverse: computer --------> phone.

      See you soon.

    Hello everyone!
I know this has nothing to do with it, but I would like to write a text on my computer and send it via Bluetooth to my mobile phone (Samsung, PlayerLight).
    Thanks for replying! :DD
