Hello everyone!!! I've been looking for ages for a zouk site that features our French songs. You know what I mean? Thank you very much.

    To give you an example, I've already heard the cover of "Belle" from Notre Dame de Paris in zouk.

      I have a few of them in my archives but I need to find them and I'll keep you updated
      I know that Jacky Rapon released an album called "Sérénité" that contained Zouk covers
      I also know that there is a version of "Aïcha" in Zouk
      The "12 Salopards" also did quite a few covers of French songs but the lyrics are quite daring, I think the name of the album was "Saloperie" or something like that and it's really lively, but there are mostly a lot of Zouk love

    re mickael, and thank you. I'm looking for the version of Daniel Guichard's "La tendresse," does that ring a bell?

      Not really! I didn't know there was a zouk version. I'll try to look for it online this afternoon, and if I find something, I'll keep you posted! If by chance you find a link too, it would be nice of you to let me know because, for personal reasons, I love this singer, especially the song "mon vieux".

      I'm back in this topic to tell you that after countless searches, I've finally found the cover of the song: la tendresse by Daniel Guichard. I have it on an audio cassette titled:
      summer zouk 2 - mix zouk'love r'n'b. It is sung by Jacques d'Arbaud. Also on this cassette is Luc Léandry, who sings: sous le vent.

      I'm really glad to have found it (finally, the empty case is already something, at least we know who it is!!)

      Just for your information, it's a tape that I copied from an original CD, which had been brought back from Reunion Island.

      If you find it somewhere, please let me know because for now I can't find much. I think I'm going to check out the record stores instead.
