Try pressing Fn + F7 when the message appears.

Normally, this disables and re-enables the touchpad.

Start > run > "msconfig" startup tab Find and uncheck the box corresponding to apls pointing device or something like that Validate and then restart the laptop
this should not disable the touchpad but will prevent the error from coming back

Then, if possible, look for the correct drivers for your laptop on the manufacturer's website
