I have a solution that allows you to go through the HDMI cable.
Just perform an update and follow the instructions.

I myself carried out this update, which took me 5 minutes.
    Now everything is OK.

Thank you for the valuable advice, zoning and HDMI connection
I still have two difficulties with this product:
      - the 'smart' remote control which I am unsuccessfully trying to teach to perform certain maneuvers from another remote (it is explained in the manual but when I follow the step-by-step explanations exactly it doesn’t work)
      - DVD playback: after pausing, the playback becomes choppy; I have to restart the hardware to resume the movie!
I’m also interested in the update procedures.
      Thank you

    Hello
    Try pressing:
    Home menu
    Options
    HDMI Input
    Settings
    Enable

    Good luck
However I can’t region-code unlock with the indications found on the net
If you have a procedure, please disclose it

    Hi,

For the HDMI, you need to press the "format" button on the remote control. This button lets you choose the upscaling up to 1081.

Otherwise, are you happy with the sound of the CDs? I feel like the voices are a bit "metallic," too cold. I don't know if it's me or a bad connection...

    See you later

Once your HDMI cable is connected, you must press the Source button on your remote HS 200 until the image appears on your TV.

Hi Harman, Thank you for your insightful advice, but nothing happens when I try the process to region-free my HS200 player. The OSD mode takes me into the visual menu, but when I then enter the code from the remote, nothing happens. Do I have misconnected neurons and/or did I miss a step? Thanks in advance, Marco

    Hello,

Like many people, I can't connect the device via HDMI... Very annoying, by the way...

So I only have sound... but no images!

Apparently, if I read correctly, a firmware update is needed. How can I do that then?

Thank you for helping me because even at the store where I bought it, they don't understand! And with them, they connected it via SCART.

    So please help me.

      Hi,

For the HDMI, you need to press the "format" button on the remote control. This button lets you choose the upscaling. By default, the screen stays black, then you will switch to 576, 720 and 1080.

      A+

    Hello
Regarding the light, it should be yellow-orange a short time after the amplifier is turned off and blue when the home cinema is functioning.
    Best regards

Thank you for the update, but first of all, what modifications will this bring compared to the original configuration? Additionally, is there a solution to read mp3 or wav files randomly from a USB key, or to create a playlist that can be played in random order?

    Hello
Regarding the update, I installed it and I didn’t see any difference. However, for reading MP3 files, I’m not sure.
    Best regards.

    Hello and Happy New Year!!!

When I connect the device to the TV (Thomson, about 10 years old with 2 SCART sockets and an S-VHS socket) with SCART, I only get sound (very good, by the way)!!! the screen stays black, the TV switches correctly to AV2 but without images. If I put a DVD in, it starts and I hear the film but there are no images. No images for the menus either.

I tried with the S-VHS cable and still no image.

    In your opinion???

Is pressing the "format" button on the remote as mentioned above the solution, or something else?

    Hello again,

I remember seeing displayed on the device’s front the number "720"—would that be a resolution that’s too high for my TV, and could that be the problem?

    Solved!!!

I went to a friend's place with a recent TV, HDMI connection, the picture appears, in the menus I tell it the SCART, and voilà !!!!
Thanks Yves for your awesome TV!!!

      Hello,
I just bought a HS 150 on sale, but I don't know how to connect my Archos or my laptop.
Actually, can I listen to my music by plugging the devices directly into the HS 150?
If yes, how do I do it?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

It doesn’t really answer your question, but just so you know, I bought an external hard drive and it wasn’t recognized by my HS150. In fact, the drive was formatted as NTFS, whereas it needs to be FAT32 to be recognized. So a quick format later and all my movies and music pass through my external hard drive, yay!!!
