Bonjour à tous,
je ne sais pas pour quelle raison je n'ai plus de son ni de ports usb qui marchent sur mon portable DEll Inspiron 5160. Je galere depuis des mois et je n'arrive pas a réparer. J'ai reinstallé Windows, supprimé les drivers en esperant que Windows les detecte et installe tout seul, j'ai installé les bons drivers disponible sur le site de Dell mais rien n'a fonctionné.
Je précise que j'ai acheté ce pc d'occasion et je n'ai pas eu le cd d'install avec.
J'ai téléchargé sur le site de Dell le driver SIGMATEL STAC 9750 AC97 bien pour mon modele de portable mais impossible de l'installer. J'ai le message suivant : "Device object non present, restart the system and run set up again."J'ai redemarré mais je recois tjs le meme message...
Il y aurait il une bonne âme parmi vous qui pourra m'aider, je galere trop.

Autrement dit, d'une part c'est bien le pilote proposé par Dell, mais d'un autre côté quand Windows veut l'installer il ne trouve pas la carte son.
Et Everest parle de DirectSound et de Creative avec des réponses No or Not Supported..
Vas voir dans Ajout/Suppression de programmes et si tu vois du Creative (ou Sound Blaster) ou du DirectSound, supprimes tout. C'est peut-être ça qui empêche la reconnaissance de Sigmatel.
Cette absence du son, c'était déjà comme ça quand tu as acheté cette bécane ou c'est arrivé par la suite ?

Il parait effectivement que ma carte son n'est pas détectée, est-il possible qu'elle soit grillée?
Pourtant quand j'essaie de lancer winamp j'ai un message d'erreur et un bip...ce qui est du son.
Je n'ai pas trouvé du Creative ou du Directsound dans l'ordi...

Explication possible. Je ne sais pas ce que ça vaut !

Il y a un slot disponible pour une carte PCMCIA.
Ton vendeur y aurait installé une carte son Creative EAX (et non Sound Blaster) qu'il aurait récupérée avant de te vendre le PC.
Pour que cette carte puisse fonctionner il a du désactiver la carte son intégrée, mais ne l'aurait pas réactivée après avoir enlevé la carte Creative.
Conséquences
- la carte Sigmatel est introuvable, puisque désactivée
- ce qui reste de l'installation de la carte Creative (où, quoi ? je ne sais pas) ne reçoit que des réponses No ou None.
Remède : réactiver la carte Sigmatel en allant dans le Bios ce qui permettra de vérifier qu'elle est effectivement désactivée (disabled).Si elle est déjà sur Enabled, tout mon raisonnement s'écroule !

Merci encore pour ta réponse. J'ai été dans le bios est la carte son est activée. En plus le son de mon pc avait fonctionné sans probleme pendant un moment et je ne sais pas pour qu'elle raison ca s'est arrété du jour au lendemain ainsi que mes ports usb...C'est la m...e
Puisque ça a marché un moment et comme tu n'as pas du faire de formatage ni de réinstallation puisque tu n'as pas les CD, essaie tout bêtement une Restauration de windows. Si tu as un point assez ancien, antérieur à l'apparition du problème, ça devrait tout remettre d'aplomb.
