A big thank you Usularakis, for your interest in my question; but apparently, and unless I’m mistaken, I do not have the parameter option. Etc.... that you recommend. It's not a big deal, especially since I think this option should lower the text instead of putting it online, but not rotate it 90°

Hi, I had the same problem writing vertically
so I created my table normally, then I selected everything
after that I went to format, then character, then in the table I set the position and checked the 90-degree box. Cool, it works with Open Office, thank you!

Hello,
In Word, you just need to select the text within a cell of the table.
Right-click and select: text orientation.
Choose the option: horizontal, upwards, or downwards.

I think this must exist in the word processing under Open Office.

I also struggled to switch to landscape mode;
it's strange that in "format" > "rotate," we can't access "reflect vertically/horizontally";
the 90° method works well
except that it's better when we can directly see on our screen the format we want.

So I tried this:
write the beginning of your text, highlight it and right-click on "page" > in "orientation" click on "landscape" and voila, the sheet turns.

In OpenOffice Calc, select the cell containing the text to be vertical > format > cell > alignment > text orientation: enter the desired rotation angle (90°)

for a short text, you can use the "artistic" method with Fontwork:
Display/Toolbar/Fontwork -> text editing -> right-click -> Position and size.../Rotation
