how to sort alphabetically Solved

Hello everyone,
I have a little problem, let me explain, I am doing some volunteering for my village hall, and now I need to sort lists in a table alphabetically, but since I'm not very skilled in computers, I am seeking your precious help.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, I worked with Open Office, I did insert table.
If someone could enlighten me, I would be very grateful, thank you in advance.

Hello. Once your list is written, click on ascending sort A-Z in the toolbar and your names will be arranged in alphabetical order. If you click on Z-A, the names will be sorted in reverse alphabetical order. Congratulations on the volunteering. It's an old volunteer who thanks you for that. transat

In favorites under history, right-click and select "Show by site." For me, the favorites are sorted alphabetically (numbers first, then letters).

Ah, I have the answer. You must first write the letters 2 - write all the words like school - director in the alphabet. We find that D comes before E, so director - school, okay? And that’s the rule!

You need to write 'AZ' in the first line of your column. Then select the entire column. Then Data/sort/by AZ.  There you go.

Hello,
I would like to add for those who might be in my situation,
Being on Linux/Ubuntu and not Windows, I couldn't benefit from the trial version of OpenOffice, and the appweb on skydrive did not offer the sorting option!

I thus discovered that I could use "LibreOffice Writer" (go to Tools then Sort...)

To find it, you can view your software by hovering your pointer over the bar at the top of your screen in the "Go to..." tab, then in "Computer/File Systems/usr/share/applications" or in the "Ubuntu Software Center" program (section "Installed"), or else by right-clicking on "Home on the dashboard" > "applications"
