Since June 19, a new obligation has been imposed on online shopping sites: to offer a withdrawal button, making the cancellation of an order as easy as a purchase. The principle is simple: when you buy remotely, the law allows a withdrawal within 14 days of the purchase without needing to justify your decision. The interface must include a "Withdrawal" feature, free of charge and accessible throughout the entire withdrawal period. This is a measure aimed at increasing transparency and protecting the consumer. What do you think of this new regulation?

How to get compensated following fraudulent purchase with PAYPAL that allows the main bank to perform withdrawals without any barrier. Is PAYPAL a way to verify real transactions against fraudulent purchases. Who should refund the amounts debited from my account by PAYPAL. What recourse do I have knowing I was protected by this system? Thank you

Paypal is only intended to create a barrier between the purchase and the bank account it is linked to, at least when it is not hacked, which has happened before, and in principle it identifies each payment with a password; it therefore does not protect against a specific purchase but against others that would not have been initiated.

It does not prohibit in any way making a purchase on a site that would use this payment method, which would be an scam, and once the user has provided the necessary credentials, it does not innovate compared to another method regarding potential legal avenues to recover the disputed amount; it can only be implicated if the user is able to prove that they did not authorize the payment.

One can likewise contest the operation with one's bank if one did not authorize the payment, but it is not up to the bank to judge the lawfulness of the payment made by a third party.

But none of this has any relation to the article that deals with the right of withdrawal.
