      It's actually easy to understand, the cash register doesn't want to display the day's revenue (Z).

      I'm not sure this is relevant to a tech forum and besides, CSI is the brand, there are several models.

      A common issue is that these registers have been purchased second-hand or following a transfer, there's no maintenance, and of course you can't just tinker with a cash register journal even for good reasons, the software will logically refuse to allow that.
