Windows 11 24H2 Compatibility & ASUS TUF GAMING B550M
SolvedBeeBop -
Hello,
I've been struggling for several hours with the installation of Windows 11 via USB on a new setup (the great Christmas idea :p). The installation always stops at 14% with the blue screen message "Windows 11 installation failed."
I flashed the BIOS to the latest available version, checked the BIOS settings & verified the SSD partition... I don't see any issues... could there be a compatibility problem between the motherboard, an ASUS TUF GAMING B550M PLUS - WIFI II, and the latest Windows 11 update 24H2???
For the rest of the setup: Ryzen 5 5600X CPU / 16GB DDR4 3200 Fury / Samsung 980 500GB SSD / SAPPHIRE RADEON RX 7600 8GB GPU / 550W PSU - Pure Power 12 M 80+ Gold
I'm currently trying to download and install a previous version to see...
Still, if you have any info or advice, I'm all ears!
Thanks everyone, and have a great holiday season

Hello.
Out of caution, download the ISO again and redo your USB drive.

Hello,
Which utility did you use to prepare your installation USB: RUFUS or Windows 11 Media Creation Tool?
-
Thank you for your ideas
- ISO W11 already redone, not better
- install with the Windows utility, or Rufus same
- I just installed W10, it works...
So compatibility issue with W11 24H2, but which one?

Hello
If you have managed to install W10, try to update to W11 via Windows Update.

Exactly, issue resolved
Install W10, update all the motherboard drivers, ..., restart complete W11 installation same version 24h2, and it works now!
Thanks for the help
