Prevent editing of the Excel document - SharePoint

Hello,
I put an Excel file in SharePoint.
The problem is that one of the advantages of SharePoint, which in this case is a problem for me, is the multi-user access.
Is there a way to prevent the modification of the Excel document once someone else has already opened it for editing?
If so, how please?

Hello,
I am not familiar with SharePoint. Normally, when a workbook is opened for editing, no other user can modify the file. For this to be possible, the owner of the workbook must share the workbook.
