Hello,

I have a friend who has become visually impaired and she is asking me if I can make the text bold on her computer

while also permanently enlarging the text

    Hello,

    In Windows, accessibility options only affect text size, not its formatting; you can adjust resolution and scaling using a large external display if it's a laptop.

    Bold text comes from software that can be enriched (for example, Word but not Notepad), and for what we write, we can create a default bold template, but not for what we receive, where you have to select the text and possibly change size and format.

    This is of course not possible online (web pages) except for the first point and possibly using the browser's Zoom feature.

      Yes, of course, the Magnifier function that I had forgotten and which can also be accessed in Accessibility from the program menu, but like the Zoom, it's not very user-friendly.
