Hello,

Since yesterday morning there have been issues again, I have to restart the Wi-Fi even though according to the network manager, I was connected.

While searching, I came across this.

I followed steps 2.1 and 2.4 and apparently, there are no more issues ... I'm keeping my fingers crossed

Hello,

Yes, I found the link interesting with tutorials for mint ubuntu.

I don't understand why, but it worked for my laptop.

However, what's surprising is that on my other laptop it's really sluggish. I just did a speed test on each PC; on the new PC around 1000 Mbps and on the old PC 40 Mbps, whether on Windows 11 or mint 21. I had never had this issue before, so I don't understand anything, especially for Windows 11 (old PC) which I was using as a test to compare with mint (new PC). Windows 11 is at least 2 times faster than mint on the speed test, and then back to ADSL.

If you have any idea? The Freebox, but I don’t see why? My wifi card (old PC) that is about to give out?

Hello,

Old PC means old Wi-Fi card, with performance well below that of current cards.

What model of Wi-Fi card is it? No matter how much you have a box that delivers 1 Gb/s, if the Wi-Fi card can only output 54 Mb/s, you can try whatever you want, it won't change anything.

Hello,

Yes, I am aware that the performance might be worse on my old PC compared to the new one, but as I explained, the old PC running Win 11 served as a reference (speedtest) to compare with the new one during my previous issue.

The speedtest (old PC) was 2 times faster (600 to 800 mbps) than my new PC running Kubuntu (200 to 400 mbps) for example; now it's actually 20 times slower without me changing anything. I've resolved the problem on the new PC and it seems to have transferred to the old one.
