My Gigaset AS405 phone no longer recognizes its base despite having new batteries.

Hello,

What base do you have? AS405A with built-in answering machine (multiple buttons on the base) or AS405 without answering machine (one button on the base)?

First, check that the base is properly powered.

If it's okay

See the manual on page 12, the procedure "Manual registration of the handset."
