Alternative to captvty

Good evening, is there an alternative to Captvty?

For some time now, several shows, particularly from Fr2 and Fr3, have no longer appeared in the Captvty catalog, which was previously very comprehensive for everything related to series, TV movies, and documentaries.

Is the site under "threat" from France.tv? Meanwhile, it is no longer possible to find this type of show (excluded from ARCOM surveillance since they are not illegal downloads). Hence my question: is there an equivalent to Captvty (which cannot be contacted to ask questions, as it seems that the administrator is alone and cannot provide "customer service" for the site). Thank you for your responses.

Hello,

What is your version of Captvty...?

Among other applications, there are those of TV platforms... like FranceTV, 6Play, My TF1, etc. It is common to have a replay that works on MyTF1 for example, and impossible elsewhere.

Videos blocked by DRM cannot be played... anyway.

Thank you for your message. I have the latest version of Captvty, so the problem is not there.

Considering that it is mainly the series, TV movies, and documentaries from France Télévisions (Fr2 and Fr3) that are no longer available on the site, I think that they have "targeted" the replay/download site. And to be honest, the catalog on the France.tv site is quite inconsistent (not all episodes of a given series are online, for example). Have a good evening :)

The latest version is: 3.0.1.7 http://v3.captvty.fr/

We cannot influence TV programs, as you might seem to want.

Hello everyone,

Captvty from January 5, 2024

At home, I even have the future broadcasts of F2 like in the image next to.

Best wishes for this new year 2024 to everyone!

Good evening and thank you for this response. But what applies to the big sun, in this case, is "off the table" for, for example, the art of crime, none of the episodes, except the first, have been picked up by Captvty. Same for Alex Hugo from 19/12/23 or the cursed woods from fr3.

Yes, but I just guessed!
If yours aren't there, it's still a legal issue, so you won't find them anywhere else either!

Good evening,

It seems that the Captvty site is indeed facing legal issues with France.tv, which has requested the removal of its programs from the catalog. I cannot guarantee that the alternatives to Captvty that I will suggest will be free of these issues, but here are a few options you can try:

myCANAL: this is the application of the Canal + group, which allows you to watch live or replay programs from many channels, including Fr2 and Fr3. You can access some content for free, or subscribe for more choices.

ADSLTV: this is software that allows you to turn your computer into a television, accessing channels from the TNT, including Fr2 and Fr3. You must be subscribed to Free or 9 Telecom to use this service.

Molotov.tv: this is an application that allows you to watch television on your phone, computer, or tablet. You can access over 30 channels for free, including Fr2 and Fr3, or subscribe for more features.

Thank you for your response. It confirms my feeling about Captvty being targeted by the official TV broadcasters. Maybe the next version of Cap will be able to bypass the blocks put in place, but I doubt it. It's a shame because this site was "great" for catching missed shows or for recording/storing them.

Have a good day :)
