USB Stay Powered

Hello,

I bought a Samsung TV model TQ55S90CATXXC.

I connected an LED strip via the TV's USB port.

When I turn off the TV, the LED strip stays on.

Is there a setting to ensure that the USB ports are no longer powered when the TV is off?

Thank you

Best regards

    Hello
It's "normal". For example, if you had a desktop PC, the USB stays powered unless you unplug the PC. Shutdown is not enough.
It's the same with the TV, and I don't think there's a setting for that.
So the only easy solution is either to unplug the USB or to turn off the TV electrically.

    Best regards

Okay, it's surprising because this same strip was connected to my previous TV and it would turn off at the same time as the TV.

Hello, whether the port is powered or not when the device is off is ultimately up to the manufacturer. This can, for example, provide a charging port for a mobile phone. On a desktop PC, sometimes you can disable this function in the BIOS. A TV doesn't always have as many settings as a computer.
