Convert a score out of 10

By doing the addition, you got 100 points for 30 tests each with the same coefficient of 10: you just need to divide by the number of tests, but I don't see the connection with a commercial calculator.

If the result is to be obtained on one of these calculators, it's called (also) an average, there is a weighted average function depending on the model of the calculator, but we don't really see the point for a simple arithmetic mean: it is enough, as before, to sum then divide.

 I noted 30 things rated 10 each. I then added everything up. I have this result: 100/300

Hmm! This result /300 catches my attention. I suspect a major blunder like:

a/10 + b/10 + c/10 + d/10 = (a+b+c+d)/40

If that's the case, the result of the addition should be 100/10 with an average value of 3.33/10

But I might be mistaken...

So it may not have been expressed very well, but it was accurate.

So the result is what I had written: 3.33/10.

And for the second calculation, that makes 98/300 = 3.27/10
