    Hello @spliters StatusMember & @billmaxime StatusContributor

If I understand correctly, the waste ink absorber is saturated and the printer is blocked (Error 1700), but in my opinion, it is not the waste ink absorber that is blocking the printer because it is basically a sponge; rather, it is the waste ink counter that is blocking the printer, and it needs to be reset to zero to unblock this printer.

I propose a solution that might possibly work... but I'm not sure because the TS8350 printer is not on the list... but maybe??? ► It's worth a try in my opinion if there are no other solutions.

You should try to use Canon Service Tool V5103 ► Here (the link is at the bottom of the page ► Download Canon Service Tool V5103).

See This link for information where the printer is not listed, but printers of the same model or almost could be compatible... so it’s worth a try before sending the printer to a repair shop, and I'm not sure they would want to do it and at what price! Or to the recycling center...

Important The printer needs to be in service mode and connected via USB for it to work... so you need to find how to put this printer in service mode, which I don't know how to do as I do not use this printer...

If there is an error code when using V5103 ► See this link

    • As mentioned earlier, I am not at all certain of the outcome, but it's worth a try in my opinion.

    Cheers ► A+

    Hi

Are there any other solutions in case this one doesn't work?

Replace or change the ink pad but we get ink everywhere, and we still need to find a video for disassembling the printer.

    See you later

Hello and thanks for the feedback, especially happy for you...!

However, you spent €12 for nothing because the software was free at the link I provided in my last message...(You should try using Canon Service Tool V5103 ► Here ) .....but the main thing is that everything works

      • I'm marking the topic as resolved

Good evening and see you later

      Cheers

        Hello billmaxime and thanks ...

I knew about the Canon Reset Tool but I wasn't sure if it was compatible with this printer and bingo ...

        • What’s especially good is that @spliters StatusMember came back to confirm that everything is fine, which isn't always common, and thanks to him this post will serve as a reference for the next one(s)...

Have a good evening and see you later

        Cheers

        Hello,

        I have a Canon TS8350 with "Error 5B00 - contact Service Center".

While browsing the internet, I saw how to enter Service Mode for Canon TS8300 series with an LCD screen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBjDhYcKw0w

It works with the TS8350, the video is a bit fast but here’s the sequence:

        - Press the top left of the screen

        - Press and hold the On button for a few seconds until a screen appears like in the video with a stop button in the top right

        - Keep pressing the On button, remove the finger that was pressing at the top left of the screen and press stop 4 times, press it a 5th time and remove the finger pressing On at the same time as the finger that just pressed stop for the 5th time and you will have, like in the video, a low brightness screen with nothing displayed, that’s the Service Mode

Thanks to jmarion3 for the links to the Canon Reset software, it shows that it exists and one must find the right one for their printer.

The V5103 worked for splitters, but in my case, the software can't identify my TS8350 and gives an error 002, indicating that the printer is not compatible or another issue.

The V3400 does not work with this printer: the app runs but does not respond.

Can Splitter tell how it worked? Was the printer connected via USB cable before or after launching the software, etc...?

        Thank you
