Hello,

I am on a bootable USB drive due to an idiotic choice of limited boot options and I can't get back to normal boot.

My problem:

C:\windows\system32>bcdedit /v

Cannot open the boot configuration data store.

The requested system device is not found.

    Hello,

One question is enough, there's no need to ask it twice.

    I assume it's a bootable Windows 10 USB drive.

Was it properly created in GPT mode for UEFI (I also assume, let's continue, that the BIOS is UEFI and therefore the system disk is GPT) and launched on a USB 2.0 port?

If after this type of verification bcdedit continues to return an error message, we might as well quickly reinstall Windows from the media (choosing of course to keep the data).
