Hello, while downloading a game, I ended up with PC Accelerate on my computer. I understood that this was fraudulent, so I didn't do anything more.
I followed the protocols to remove it, but when I restart my computer, the "PC Accelerate" panel still appears.

How can I finally get rid of it?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Catherine

    Hello,
    By simply uninstalling it.
    What OS does your PC run on?

    Hello, I have already uninstalled it as well as all the weird little things I could find via "uninstall a program".
    I have Windows 10.

    Hello,
    Download FRST once downloaded save it on the desktop then right-click on FRST and choose Run as administrator you will see this:

    Click on Scan

    Warning, wait for the messages saying that the scan is complete to appear

    At the end of the scan, you will have two text files on the desktop FRST and Addition

    Then send the FRST and ADDITION reports to CJOINT see THIS TUTORIAL then give the two links generated by Cjoint in your reply.

    You installed PC Accelerate by installing a free software, you also have the WeatherZero software that was installed at the same time if you didn't install it yourself, uninstall it, see my advice to avoid this at the end of the message.

    Uninstall WebAdvisor by McAfee it's adware

    It wasn't just PC Accelerate on your PC to fix all this follow these steps.
    Procedure to follow in the indicated order:

    1- Open FRST as administrator by right-clicking on FRST and selecting run as administrator
    2 - Copy the entire script that is in the box below:
    Start::
    CreateRestorePoint:

    EmptyTemp:
    End::

    3- Once the script is copied click on Fix, FRST automatically takes the script from the clipboard.

    Let the fix run once it is finished you will be asked to restart your PC, do it as soon as you are prompted, see below.
    Then once your computer is restarted:
    4- You will have a Fixlog file on your desktop then send these reports to https://www.cjoint.com/ see this tutorial then provide the link generated by Cjoint in your next message.

    5- CHECK AND TELL ME IF YOUR PROBLEM IS STILL PRESENT

    Advice.

    In the future be careful when you install free software, during installation you need to read the various screens carefully to avoid getting trapped.
    You must uncheck the proposed boxes they are not always visible at first glance, for example:

      I just restarted the computer and the problem is resolved.
      I would like to thank you for the time spent helping me as well as the explanations for the different processes that were very clear.
      The "warnings" were also read to my son so that he does not repeat this mistake.
      Have a good evening.
