The volume turns up by itself and my voice assistant talks on its own.

Hello :),

My problem is that the sound on my phone increases by itself without me pressing any buttons, sometimes all the way up to maximum volume. This only happens when I'm wearing headphones.

Also, the Google voice assistant, after increasing the volume, starts telling me the time by itself every second, because as soon as I lower the volume, it automatically goes back up.

Thank you for your help, my phone model is: Android Redmi Note 8.

(And there's this, I don't know what it is but it was pre-written so I imagine it's important)

Configuration: Android / Chrome 94.0.4606.85

    This is probably not a software problem, but more of a hardware issue.

    Have you tried with other headsets/earphones, and does the problem persist?

    It could be a voltage issue due to a shock or contact with liquid..
