Hello,

I think I have lost my HDMI driver, after being connected to the TV, there is no recognition...
and I do not see it either in the device manager under "Graphics Card"
Could someone please tell me how and where to download a driver to make the HDMI port of my ASUS X409UA-EK080T PC work?
Thank you in advance

Thank you for your response, the driver I need to download to support HDMI is indeed the graphics one?

In fact, I've never heard of a driver for HDMI, which is just a transmission cable, but indeed it plugs between the graphics card and the monitor.
The signal comes from the GPU; it's the latter that needs a driver.

If, as you say, this GPU no longer appears in the devices, it's likely that it's dead.

Hello

in search, type --> control panel

on the page that opens, click on SOUND

on the page that opens, check which device is set as default

example

when the HDMI cable is connected, press Windows+P, and choose Duplicate

let us know what happens

re

you don't have any alerts in the device manager (? or /!\) yellow

and your PC is up to date (the 21H1/19043)

post 1 screenshot of the page in this message --> click here

PS: have you tested your HDMI cable on another PC?

I indeed think it’s dead because even after updating the GPU, still nothing..

your graphics card is not dead, otherwise you wouldn't have any display on your PC

I don't see it either in the device manager "Graphics Card"
yet it is present in the post8 table
can you expand on this part and add the hidden devices? and repost

to have the full win version, just type Winver in "Run"

re

I think the HDMI port is dead on your PC because it is not detected in the playback devices

Check if there's any play when the HDMI is plugged into the correct port

See you

Yes indeed, a bit of play.

re

Yes indeed, a bit of play

if you gently wiggle the HDMI plug in the port, do you see it detected in the playback devices?

re

so I think the HDMI port is dead, because your cable works on another PC

re

thank you

PS: you might want to check at a computer store about changing the HDMI port

is the PC no longer under warranty?
