Charger a smoking but still charging

Hello, this is Hervé
I have a Lenovo 330 Ideapad. As usual, I was using it when suddenly smoke started coming from the charger. I immediately unplugged it, and a few hours later it wouldn't charge anymore. But that evening, before going to bed, I plugged it in out of curiosity, and it started charging the machine again.
Amazed, I came to this forum to find out what could explain this and if I am exposing myself to any danger.

Good evening,
Unplug this charger and definitely do not let it run overnight: It is faulty and these kinds of problems never get better.
Replace it as soon as possible.
It's a matter of safety for yourself. (and perhaps for the computer).
