HELLO

I have been offered to attend a training course at AFPA Créteil for IT support technician.
I am wondering what recognition employers have for this training...

Thank you for sharing your experience with me.

    Hello,

You can definitely make it with a TAI diploma. If it's the AFPA that offered you this training after a little psychotechnical test, they may have judged that level 4 is more suitable for you. You know, I am in charge of higher technicians in computer science and networks. The best among them has the same diploma as the one you are about to take; so don't listen to everyone, and go for it. It’s not the diploma that makes the technician. If you love networks, there will always be opportunities, I recommend TSRIT. It’s the ideal training, as BEST HELPER would say.

Hello everyone, my name is SEB

I completed my training as a Manager of Retail Space at AFPA in Caen from May 2007 to March 2008.
After these 10 months of alternating work, I obtained my 3 professional titles.
    Work followed immediately for me.
Now I would still like to have my diploma in hand.

My question: How and where can I collect my well-deserved diploma?

    Thank you for responding: seb.roussel@caramail.com

Hi Seb, I'm going to take the selection tests soon for the same training as you. I would really like you to give me some information about the types of skills they will ask for... I know there are math, French, and logic, so if you could guide me or direct me to a site, that would be cool.

As for your diploma, I recommend contacting the AFPA center where you did your training, and I think they'll tell you the steps to take since it's a certification accredited by the Ministry of Labor.

      Thanks in advance

      Good evening Seb,

I will be taking the aptitude tests to validate my training as a merchandise management manager on Monday, April 20.
Can you tell me what the situation is regarding these tests? And what kind of tests are they?
      Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

    I completed this 1560-hour training in 2005/2006
Currently, the only job that allows you to work with the TAI diploma is the hotline for ADSL !!!!!
I was very disappointed with the value of this diploma in the job market.
The rest is up to you.

    Hello,

I myself am in IT, so I can answer your questions.

Being an IT maintenance technician might be ideal, but is it really about repairing computers (internally, like when a program won't start and we analyze the situation to get it running), if that's the case please confirm for me and what to take after the baccalaureate S, IUT, DUT, which one specifically and what options, and everything else... because I want short studies (bac +2 or 3 max)?
    - Are scientific fields really competitive, should I have taken something else?
    - Is the salary good?
    - Advantages/disadvantages
    - Recruitment? (crisis or not)
    - Or other jobs explaining what they consist of, studies, and everything?
    - Do my grades correspond?

To start, IT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN: this is exactly the title of my job, which means that the field of IT is vast and we touch pretty much all sectors and therefore we are not recognized as specialists. This is what makes employment a bit easier because an employer is mainly looking for versatility, but in a specialized field like, for example, microinformatics or programming, this can actually be a disadvantage since a precise specification is then sought (in the case of a specific IT field like programming, server creation, etc.). The ideal would be to take the BTS IRIS (computer science and network management training, which is what I followed), but believe me, the best is personal experience that you will gain during your various internships or personal projects. You will surely struggle with the first PC, pulling your hair out or whatever... but personally, that’s what trained me (researching online when you're in trouble, etc.). All of this gives you the necessary potential (beyond theoretical coursework). Salary (personally) €1500 net recruitment, ask for internships to get known by the company, your grades in such matters are not important at all, you cannot assess potential based on grades from 0 to 20. However, invest in what you like and you will become proficient (I’m not saying the best).

So this isn't to make you dream, but personally, just yesterday I helped Bilou... our colleague from crosoft...

Anyway, if you're interested in this topic, get in touch with me, I'll let you know my email f6ast2@free.fr

    Happy reading and good luck
    Best regards

I think that the TAI training only gives a high school level...
In the world of computer science, that's nothing.
From my point of view, I recommend you orient yourself towards TSSI (technical support in IT)
I want to differentiate AFPA training from other studies, you will spend 8 hours on a practical assignment and repeat it the next day, I think you will be more operational in the job market.

Hello, does the TAI diploma level 4 have the same value as the diploma obtained at school? Let me explain,
My employer lists me as level 3 coefficient 170 on my pay slip, while if I follow the logic, my diploma gives me level 4 coefficient 190! When I ask him, he says "my accountant tells me it doesn't have the same value."

If I look in the convention, it says "level 3 = technician without diploma, level 4 = graduated technician," so I am a graduated technician, and therefore I should be at level 4 as indicated on my diploma. So does the Afpa diploma actually not have the same market value as someone with a diploma obtained at school? I think it’s SEN.

      Hello,
I have a question to ask about the MUM training,
so I have my entrance exam on July 19th and I admit I am not prepared, especially in math...
So, do you need to have a good level in math for this training?
And what topics are the math based on? What is the most important to learn basically...
      Thank you
      really very urgent

However, be aware that there is no entrance exam, but admission tests.
You won't make significant progress in math in 6 days; just make sure you remember the middle school curriculum...
