Copying a protected cell

Hello everyone
When I copy a protected cell from one sheet to another, the protection is removed on the destination sheet
for example: in A1=1 in B1=2 and C1=A1+B1=3. The C1 cell is then protected.
When I copy the entire range to another sheet, C1 is no longer protected.
How can I keep the protection?

Hello,
the copy of a locked cell is locked, just like an unlocked one.
It's up to you to protect your sheet after your copy if you want it to be active.
And to unprotect it for the next copy... You’re not done... :-)

Yes, Vincent; that's how it works: sheet protection is intended to prevent accidental modification of the locked cell; it does not block the content of the cell, especially when copying the sheet...
If you protect not just the sheet but the entire workbook, the protected cell will still be protected in the copy of the workbook.
