Hello,
For flight simulation, in my opinion, the best is IL-2 (with all add-ons installed including 1946...).
I am a pilot and honestly, there are moments when you really feel like you're in it, especially when the difficulty is set to max, of course...
With Microsoft, instrument flying is very realistic, but the problem is that landings, stalls, and overall flight behavior are completely inaccurate.
What I can criticize about IL-2 is the weather system (it's impossible to adjust wind direction and it's always somewhat the same), otherwise, the clouds are rather well done. Another flaw when playing against the computer is that when you try to hide from an enemy plane in a cloud, you still get shot at just the same... Otherwise, it remains a very, very beautiful game, even if it's getting old and we're eagerly awaiting the next one in the same vein. I highly recommend it if you want to get as close as possible to the sensation of flying!

Hello
The last aerial combat game from Crosoft was Combat Flight Simulator 3: Battle for Europe, I believe. It was released in 2002...
Otherwise, check out the video game websites, you'll surely find what you're looking for.
Here for example: http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/jeux/scat-127-vol-militaire/ (you can choose the theme in the upper right corner)

It's incredible to see that no one, I mean no one, can inform us about the best fighter jet simulator in 2010....
I won't talk about Hawk because I have it, and frankly it's boring because the actions are too repetitive.
I will talk even less about the guy who offers us his link to arcade flight simulators from the 80s (free arcade simulator games, what a joke, I can't stop laughing. It's honestly ridiculous!
I'm searching (because I'm not a newbie on the internet lol, but I'm short on info about new releases) for a real combat simulator, at the level of EFS 2000 Eurofighter 2000 the first version (not the second one which is crap).
Since flight simulators have existed on PC (the first Flight Simulator in the 80s lol, that's old), up to the latest Flight Simulator 2000, I haven't seen any other software of the same kind that is worth playing. Forget IL-2, it's really too complicated and unplayable (sorry storm74, your message is indeed from 2008 but I disagree, it's the worst air combat simulator I've ever had the chance to test, sorry) or maybe Falcon 4 and even then! This software is old too now, and I'm not sure it runs on Windows 7???
So, if someone understood this message about what I'm really looking for, well, welcome friend, I'm all ears.... and I'm waiting for the new info! Thanks for reading.

just in case you're looking for a beautiful air combat game, you have to accept that it will be complicated... It's annoying at first, I agree! So you have to choose: -easy games, not too complicated: Hawks etc... poor realism, and graphics....
-complicated games: Il2, Cliffs of Dover, etc..: beautiful realism and beautiful graphics but complicated.....

Uh no :)
I also played the first Combat Flight Simulator, but I haven't tried any others since then. My computer isn't powerful enough anymore.
Look at the reviews on gaming websites and the forums that are usually associated with them; it generally gives a good idea.

I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to equipment; I haven't looked into it for ages, so I can't tell you.
Have a nice day too.

ok.
because it brings back memories: in '98 I was playing Combat Flight Simulator on 8/6.
now, 9 years later, I want to play again!
thank you very much

Hello, I am a pilot on the B737. To answer your question, try "mig-29 simulator," it's the best of the best.
I don't know if it's Microsoft, but you can try "Blazing Angels 2," it's simple, easy, and good; you just have to watch the gaming live video test on: Jeux vidéo.com or check out videos on YouTube. You'll see, it's really good.
Hello everyone, if you’re looking for an amazing flight combat game, I highly recommend Cliffs of Dover from the creators of IL-2 Sturmovik!
It comes out on March 31, 2011!! Here’s the trailer to watch in full screen and in 1080

I can't wait!!!

Hi, I'm just a bit late but I have a question...
I have the game Lock On: Air Combat Simulation. If someone could tell me why when I'm in the cockpit, it’s all black and the plane is also all black. I have a computer with XP and another one with 7, could someone kindly reply to me????
Please.....
Jojo
