Hello to you
I have an IIyama G-master GB2760HSU 144 Hz screen, and I can connect the mouse, the keyboard, and there are 2 speakers. The connection is made via HDMI or DisplayPort. For now, I'm using HDMI because my graphics card doesn't support DisplayPort. If I connect the mouse and keyboard via USB to the screen, nothing works, not even the sound. My question is whether it's because I'm using HDMI and my graphics card is an Nvidia GT640?
I'm waiting for a power supply and the case to build my future PC with a GTX 1660 Super and a Ryzen 5 3600. Thank you for enlightening me.

Hi,
the HDMI cable was supplied with the screen. However, it doesn't seem very thick and looks quite basic compared to the ones I see online. I'm going to buy one first thing this morning. Thanks for the info. See you! -

Hello,
This equipment... passes the audio through HDMI, provided the cable is of the correct version and the PC source has audio... For example, a video, a movie.
The USB mouse and keyboard on the monitor work if you connect this monitor to the PC's USB; it’s not a mystery, if it’s not connected...
You can also read the manual for this monitor..
here, for the 2780 https://www.modesdemploi.fr/iiyama/prolite-b2780hsu/mode-d-emploi -
Thank you,
I already have the manual and in French, but nothing is explained about the fact that it doesn't work, even though everything is properly connected with the right cables. I will wait until I receive all my equipment for the new PC, and I will assess the situation then. Talk to you later. -

OK, I told you that because I have a screen like that... and the HDMI connection works well with the audio... I use the TV for that.
For the keyboard and mouse, I don’t use it like that; they are connected directly to the PC. -
OK. I tried connecting the mouse and keyboard to the screen because the manual says you can do that, but I’ll just keep connecting them to the PC. As for the sound, I don't understand why nothing is coming out of the speakers. I had to connect my two external speakers to the PC. But I’ll see when I get my other graphics card and connect it via DisplayPort.

OK,
Your HDMI cable... might not be equipped for audio, it doesn't have all the wires or its version
You can read this https://www.lesnumeriques.com/tv-televiseur/point-sur-connecteur-hdmi-a2421.html
It is also possible that your graphics card doesn't support that video... Or that your PC doesn't have the required codec for that resolution... in terms of pixels, frequency, and encoding... It is quite difficult to discuss this way, without seeing anything and without technical information about this video in harmony with your monitor.
