Exit a table

Hello to you, so here's my problem.

My mouse cursor is at the end of the table. When I want to write below the table, I can't. How is that possible? Is there a manipulation I should do to place the cursor outside the table and write below?

    I don't know how you managed it, but you removed the last footnote from the page.
    Right-click on the table of contents and delete it.
    Then insert it again, the new table will appear this time with an empty paragraph.

      No, it's doing exactly the same thing again, the gray box is still there... I'm bewildered by computers. Any tips that really work, please?

      Yes: Do it like everyone else, type all your text, format it, and apply styles for the paragraph titles.
      When EVERYTHING is finished, place your cursor at the beginning of the document and insert the table of contents. This way you won't need to click afterwards...
