On my MCR611, it seems to be working, the app on my smartphone is still struggling, it doesn't detect anything anymore!
I wonder if, given the health crisis, Marantz has been struck by a crisis of conscience???? Is this going to last?
Their silence is still unacceptable. -
The site indicates that it is paid
https://marantz-fr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7100/~/accès-aux-radios-internet-depuis-vtuner
I was also surprised by this on my Marantz Melody CR610
However, I believe that the purchase price of the device should include unlimited access to the service, and if that's not the case, at least allow us to choose the service we want to use. Here, there is an obligation to use vTuner with no other option. Paying to access radios; soon we'll be paying for wifi access while we're at it!-
- Yes...!

That's something!
Of course, if someone has other ideas...

Still no alternative...
It seems that Marantz France's customer service answers the phone every day between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Personally, I've never managed to talk to them. The number is available on the Marantz website. -
I was about to buy a PM7000 N to replace my MCR603.
On one hand, I won't be doing anything with it; on the other hand, I will go as far as banning the brand.
Now let's see what's being done on the side of "Que Choisir" or "60 Millions..." -
-
I confirm what I said two weeks ago, namely that with my 611, I succeeded in finding channels and adding them to favorites
It is true that today I find myself with the same message to check the Marantz website
How is it possible that for a short period, probably a few days, I managed to get this amplifier to work?
This means that it is possible if they want it, that there are no incompatibilities! -
This evening, I managed to search for and favorite 2 new web radios.
It seems that Marantz is fumbling around, tinkering, as our devices receive this or that profile depending on our IP addresses (or something else?).
It's totally crazy and very DIY in a bad way.
Maybe tomorrow, banzai, I won't have anything again?
Of course, there’s no incompatibility; there’s just an unacceptable indifference considering the price we paid for our devices. -
Even more "subtle" in the unacceptable:
On the web radios, I can only search in France!!!!!!
So I'm deprived of 90% of the web radios: certainly a Vtuner monopoly.
It's absolutely shameful, these extremely limited features, and on top of that, the smartphone app is completely out.
Let's keep saying loud and clear all the bad we think about this scam. -
Hello Totixiem07,
While searching, by chance, for the high-end features of DENON amplifiers (for example, the AVC-X8500H) on the official brand website:
https://www.denon.com/en-us/shop/avreceiver/avcx8500h
If you scroll down the page to its features (by clicking on "network," then "Internet radio"), it seems that this device uses the "TuneIn" platform (?).
By typing this name into Google, it appears that this platform offers free radio content...
https://tunein.com/
At the bottom of the page, it states that there is free content (100,000 free stations) and paid content (€8.69/month) for PC/smartphone versions.
So, we can hope that a new update is planned... And that this won't only concern the recent devices.
If that's the case, I hope they will take into account ALL devices, even those that are no longer marketed and that received internet radio...
Here's a good discovery...
Hoping that DENON/MARANTZ will be quick to offer this change for all their customers! -
Hello,
I'm experiencing the same problem with a DENON Ceol. I’m looking for ways to connect with other users. I have signed the petition; are there any other steps to take, a Facebook group to join...?
Thank you for your responses. -
I just installed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.findhdmusic.app.upnpcast&hl=fr&gl=US
apparently you can enter your own streams and so I should be able to add some good radios.
The depressing aspect is that in the tab of the most popular radios, you find the abominable stream of Alex Jones, a reptilian who broadcasts the infamous Infowars.
