CHROMEBOOK and HDMI issues

I recently got a CHROMEBOOK from Asus and I bought an HDMI adapter, it works with my living room TV (Phillips) but not with the one in my bedroom (tubscon) the TV doesn't seem to recognize the computer can someone please help me?

Well, the problem is solved for those who might have the same issue. Just go to settings > device > display and then two rectangles appear: "internet display" or "yourtelevisionname." Select your TV and then at the bottom, just change the format.
