Screen resolution issue stuck at 800x600

Hi! I was playing The Sims 2 smoothly at a resolution of 1024x768, but when I installed The Sims 2 Bon Voyage, it only offers me a single resolution of 800x600, which is very annoying! Please tell me how to fix it!!!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.7 The Sims 2 The Sims 2 Nightlife The Sims 2 University The Sims 2 Pets The Sims 2 Seasons The Sims 2 Bon Voyage

I'm good, managed by myself! lol So for those who were in the same situation as me and are about to break a wall, here’s the fabulous answer:

1. Go to My Computer
2. Find the hard drive where The Sims 2 is installed
3. Open Program Files (if it’s hidden, open it anyway)
4. EA Games
5. Open The Sims 2 OR IMPERATIVE the last Expansion Pack you installed.
6. Open TSData
7. open Res
8. Config and find the file named "Graphics Rules"
9. Open it with Windows Notepad
10. Find the lines (x4) setb forceLowResolution true and replace true with false!
11. Then go towards the end and you’ll see this:

uintProp maxResHeight 600
uintProp defaultResWidth 600
uintProp defaultResHeight 800

setting $MediumButDefaultLow
uintProp maxResWidth 1280

Modify only the first small text and it gives:

Grâce à tes explications, j'ai résolu mon problème d'écran en 30 minutes (le temps de vérifier et de ne pas faire de bêtises, pas douée en informatique) merci beaucoup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much, after changing the motherboard and reinstalling The Sims 2, I couldn't change the screen resolution. Your solution fixed this issue.
