Unable to add a friend on Snapchat

Hello, I have a problem. When someone sends me a friend request on Snapchat, I receive the notification saying that this person has added me, but when I click on the notification, it opens the app and I have no friend requests in there. At first, I thought people were canceling their requests, but that's not the problem because the same thing happened when two people who were right next to me sent me friend requests without canceling them. I've already tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that doesn't work. And my weekly friend limit is not at the maximum.
If you have any ideas so that I can finally see and therefore add back the people who have already added me, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
